World turned Colour: 1971

I was 4 in early 1971 - I have first hand direct memories from before then.

I remember our first colour tv turning up. It was delivered while me and my mum were in. Rediffusion I think, so rented. First thing we put on was a nature programme - deer running about in a Savannah. Which is fitting because nature programs were one of the things being promoted at the time to boost colour tv sales.

So looking through the Radio Times of the time - things I probably watched - possibly with my 2 year old sister around somewhere.

Laurel & Hardy's Hog Wild at 13.55 on Jan 1st 1970
Xmas in 1969 - Rolf Harris went to meet some children in hospital :-O , a documentary about the royal family, top of pops (I bet that wasn't left on); Billy Smart's circus Spectacular, Disney Time - endless variety shows recycling the BBC's on call celebs (Ken Williams, Rolf Harris, Cilla Black, Roy Castle, Lulu...)
Jon Pertwee was Doctor Who - and I know I was watching either now or soon after
Hectors House on at 17.44 (Monday)
Nationwide with Micheal Barratt at 18.00
