meeting S+++

Though this is labelled 1998 it has to be earlier and the dates are a mistake. I spent a year not going out with S++ so that puts it all back to 1997 - K was 4 when we met so that is 1996/97


Monday 22nd June
Got to work, very tired, didn’t cycle. Early night and dogs were slightly neglected.


Tuesday 23rd June
Cycled to work. RTS meeting in evening. Girl I was talking to at party not interested in me. S+++ was there – that girl I’ve seen at every RTS/ critical mass for last 2/3 months. BIG THUNDERSTORM 3-6pm

Wednesday 24th June
Cycled to work. Cool. Air conditioning still being fitted in office. Early night at home. Started printing loads of leaflets.

Thursday 25th June
Started work on “Morning critical mass Leaflet. Faxed stuff to Nick. Early night again – I just can’t stay awake.

Friday 26th June
After today I’ve cycled to work 4 days running. The best since I lost my pass. Critical mass. Leafletted. RTS leaflets turned up. Chris is doing his own insane Critical Mass on Monday. Met S+++ and her friend Brian. Drank 3 cans of cider. Got abused by female police person. Talked to S+++. Got lost in Hackney and left towards Canary Wharf. The three of us ended up on motorway towards Blackwall tunnel. Got to Greenwich via foot tunnel by 10.45. Got pint in shitty pub called “The Gipsy Moth”. Drank cider till early hours of morning. Snogged with S+++ most of night. After leaving Brian went to hill by Greenwich Park and laid there, kissing, etc. (what Americans call making out). Saw a fox. A cat came and said hello. It rained. We got up after it was light and cycled to Catford. Café till 8ish drinking coffee – parted at 8.30. She went to Bromley and I went to colliers Wood. We arranged to go on a boat trip on Tuesday from Greenwich.

Then I went to meet my family at 10.30 – Camden and Tower Bridge, south Bank, charing x. Spike pissed on my rucksack. Went home 4ish, put dogs away and went to bed. [I think this is when dad made his “Jesus” comment about me – but I guess I was developing a bit of a Jesus complex at the time].






Sunday 28th June


Thought about S+++ for large part of day.


Went shopping at 10am.


Cooked and ate vegan fry up.


Listened to GLR all day.


Finished “Paddy Clarke – Ha Ha Ha”.


Had dogs out and running about in afternoon.


Launderette – coloureds


Made salad rolls for Monday and Tuesday


Phone S+++ at 7.00. Could make no arrangements as she had not been to her mother’s to look at tickets. We arranged to phone next day.


Slept till 12.30 – fed cats. No sign of Eli. Back to bed.
